And what a spectacular venue for any band to play at! A place filled with nostalgia and always guaranteed to be a fantastic evening. This event is sponsored by Hill Dickinson, Solicitors! Corporate Party Time

The Band are playing at a number of venues in December including The Raquets Club in Liverpool City Centre for the Eurowrap Christmas dinner dance. No Tennis! Just champagne, good food and smooch to vibrant tones of the Nightbreakers!

The Nightbreakers will be playing to 150 people at The Woolton Social Club for the Rayware annual Christmas Party! Wow that will be one big party!

Now here’s a couple of great historical facts for all you Beatle fans out there….the Woolton Social Club was the very same famous venue where the Beatles played; and is in fact located only 200 yard away from St Peter s Church Hall where John Lennon first met Paul McCartney!

The Nightbreakers have been performing regularly since the start of this year and have played anumber of times at Cafe Sarlar in Lymm and last Saturday played to a wondeful audience to celebrate Kevin s Birthday at The Farmer s Arms in Poynton.

Cafe Salar, Lymm

On 16th December 2010, The Nightbreakers played for the fourth time in six weeks at the terrific restaurant and wine bar, Cafe Salar in Lymm, Cheshire. Cafe Salar opened during the Summer right in the centre of the town. What a brilliant atmosphere! Playing for a full hour and three quarters The Nightbreakers performed to packed house full of Xmas revellers and partygoers.

Tony meets Feargal Sharkey!

Whilst at a charity dinner in London, I was lucky enough to be sat next to Feargal Sharkey (yes, the very one!) – lead singer of The Undertones and singer/writer of many hit songs including “Teenage Kicks” and “A Good Heart”.

Well, what a smashing guy. After telling him I probably owed him £1 in royalties because we’d played Teenage Kicks at a wedding gig the night before, he entertained me with all sorts of rock n roll stories, mostly unprintable!

Feargal is now Chief Executive of UK Music – an umbrella organisation that represents all artists in the UK to improve conditions i.e. easier licensing for venues, preventing illegal down-loading. We wish him well.

Finally, Feargal has a Nightbreakers card. Maybe he’ll come to one of our gigs in the not too distant future

What Would Your Special Request Be?

The Nightbreakers repertoire continues to grow and change and you’ll see more songs added from time to time to the Repertoire page on the site. When arranging the details of a wedding we will very often be asked to include a special song or request for the bride & groom which we are happy to accommodate.

At our weekly band practice we often discuss new tracks to add to the list. At times we struggle to all be in agreement as perhaps songs are not to our own personal taste. Then there’s the issue of what age group the song appeals to and whether to run an older track or something more current.

We like to cater for a mixed audience with songs that will appeal to everyone and so we thought we’d ask our friends and guests of the site what song you would request if you were to come to one of our performances?
